I should probably say I haven't seen the other two X-Men films set in the past because I didn't care about the casting of young Charles at all. After having seen Mcavoy and Fassbender on screen together I kind of get how they might be interesting together, but I don't think I'm sold enough to go and try them. Are Melody and Gambit in them? That might persuade me. There should so be a Mystique film though. Let's add it to the list of films about female characters we're never getting.

I feel bad saying it but I found Maleficent kind of boring in a lot of places. I liked that it had some revisionist feminist elements, but I thought the film was more interested in looks than emotions (not my thing) and that it was waaaay overloaded with narration. I think they were trying to mix traditional fairy tale films in but it just felt like they were hitting you over the head with every plot point. I did like the relationship between Maleficent and Aurora though. And the crow guy was great. So yes e-mail me about it please :)

And that title! I'll discuss it with others but it may replace what I've got. Do love a good pun.
