What I did on my holidays

Took to the freeway:




Visited the falls:




Caught up with friends:



Took in some culture:



Outdoors! In the sunshine!




Quite a novelty for a Brit to go to an outdoor event without an emergency umbrella, I can tell you.


Indulged in some beverages:



We didn’t drink at the zoo, even when we were offered the opportunity, so I’m calling this a classy holiday with appropriate levels of drinking.


Found a bit of Britain overseas:




Found out what sport is all about in Canada:




Kept our blood sugar up:




Saw some good people get wed:




Ended our trip in typical Canada fashion:



A good trip all round.

I'd say no one takes pictures of sad, but we actually do (only if something isn't life threatening and will later make a good memory of us battling on of course). On this trip the ratio of sad photos (5 taken on the longest late night wait at a bus station for a bus that was coming 'probably soon, I don't know, don't ask ME') to happy photos (about a hundred) was really good. Success.

Took to the freeway in an open car? This is a lovely photo essay. When you were at Niagara Falls, you were 8 hours away from me by freeway.

Yes. I understand that safety wise that's a bit lik going on the motorway with the windows open but we're unharmed and had a blast (although my hair was made of dirt by the time we hit the falls). I could actually see American flags in Detroit when we got to the town for the wedding, had no idea we would be quite so close. American blogger visit trip must come soon.

Oh these are just fabulous and it's wonderful to see you having such a great time (what IS that dessert on the plate in front of you - it looks awesome). And I have to say that you have gorgeous, flawless skin.

It's a waffle with smores icecream (which is a bit like Shreddies and marshmallow bits covered in chocolate). We discovered this amazing breakfast/desert place down the street and this was our second visit. On the first trip we had most amazing blueberry pancakes ever. If you go to Canada go prepared to eat all the time.

Thanks :D Context, because it doesn't make it any less bizare: It was a quater time contest to win a gift certificate to Wendys at an Argonauts game. This woman had to build a hamburger correctly and she did it. Let me tell you, we do not do things like that at our sporting occassions in the UK.
