Bath and Back Again
I'm back from Bath feeling much better. Nothing is quite so good for a pick me up as drinking with friends and a day at a spa. Bath spa was pretty much the last big Bath tourist attraction I wanted to do, so I'm glad we got to go. Floating in an outdoor rooftop pool while it rained was delicious, as were the four different scented steam rooms and the fluffy robes. Hanging out in my friends rented house was just wonderful, the old house crammed with full bookcases and grown up furniture was so worth all those hills.
I saw leaflets around for the annual Children's literature festival held in Bath and the balloon festival that comes to Bristol every year, so those go on my UK tourism list for next year, along with a trip to Hay on Wye's many bookshops. It's always nice to be reminded how easy it is to find something different to do in the UK.
Tonight was a special Speedway meeting, featuring all the young riders from British speedway and after a day at 'job of doom' (yes that's what I'm officially calling it this week) it was great to go somewhere fun. It didn't hurt that Wolves riders took both first and third place on the night. But now I must reture to bed, I need sleep to help me through doom ;)
