Welcome

Hi to anyone visiting from my old Blogger home. If you want to find me on the web from now on this is where I'll be :)

In case anyone is having problems commenting using Open ID I thought I would paste this helpful comment from [personal profile] renay here:

'...the OpenID name is basically a free DW account that lacks posting abilities. If they log in with OpenID, confirm their email address and such, yeah. It's a free account minus posting.

I just don't want people to think DW accounts are required for talking to you. ;)

I tested Blogger OpenID because you said you were having problems, but it still works just fine for me? I am not sure what I did differently. I used my whole URL: http://bottleofshine.blogspot.com/ and I had to go "yes, always trust dreamwidth.org".

The only thing that's required, it seems like, is that you be logged into the Blogger account with the blog you're using as your ID (say, if you have multiple accounts like me) and use your full URL (with the http:// part). It worked just fine for me under those conditions.'

HEY, JODIE! :D

I have never before had to do recaptcha on DW when logged in. THIS IS BLOWING MY MIND. <3

I just didn't realize it was possible. Now we know what to do if LB ever gets trolled. ;)

Does OpenID still not work well for you? Because at this point i am pretty sure OpenID accounts can do mostly everything free accounts can do besides post to the service in entries (have profiles, reading lists, upload icons, get direct replies to their comments). I can do beat the technology up for you if you want!

I wasn't sure; Amy seems to be using a non-Blogger OpenID (because it lacks the Blogspot ID but it could be Blogger! Who knows!). I am just curious, because the OpenID name is basically a free DW account that lacks posting abilities. If they log in with OpenID, confirm their email address and such, yeah. It's a free account minus posting.

I just don't want people to think DW accounts are required for talking to you. ;)

I just want everyone to be able to embrace threaded comments like us, Jodie! IT IS MY DREAM!

You have made me think many things! I wonder if I am using a non blogger open ID how is that even possible? Should I be adding blogspot when I try to sign in?

I'm trying to comment with my old blogger account. I keep thinking of going back to Blogger, because as you say, it is incredibly easy to use.

I am getting a captcha in order to comment.
